Netball - Mrs Clarkson & Mrs Badger
Wednesday 14th March 2018
We have had a fabulous season within our Netball Club this year. We were lucky enough to be able to take 3 teams to the local Netball League held at Sandbach High School. We had some fantastic individual and team performances and a special mention MUST to go to our development team – who were new to our club and had never played in a competitive game situation. Our B team had mostly year 4 children so we have a great future ahead. All players exhibited examples of our Offley Drivers including team work and developing resilience. Just brilliant!
Our A team came joint second (on goal difference) in the league and went through to the Level 2 Games competition. This is a Final for all the finalists/runners up from the local area. They progressed to the semi-finals and again we saw some fabulous performances as a team.
Offley v Elworth Hall – 4-1
Offley v Black Firs – 4-2
Offley v Quinta – 3-8
Offley v St Gabriel’s 0-5
Cross Country League
Race Night 1 at St. Johns: Monday 18th September 2017
A huge well done to Emma, Libby, Emily, Marissa, Olivia, Ben, Charlie, Harry, Adam, Murray, Callum and Finn for representing our school at St.Johns today in our first race of the cross country league. We had some fanstastic results! Emily managed to come 2th in our girls race and Adam came 9th in the boys race! What a fanstastic start to the league. Smiles all round!
Race Night 2 at Sandbach Academy: Monday 2nd October 2017
Congratulations to the Year 5's and Year 6's who ran at Sandbach. The children first had to compete in a trial run at school because of the number of children wanting to take part. It was a first cross country race for many of the Year 5's! They ran with good intelligence by saving their energy for a sprint finish. Some of the children came away from the race determined to practise and improve on their place next time. Well done everyone!
Total Scores after Race 2
Race Night 3 at The Dingle: Monday 19th March 2018
What a lovely afternoon of cross country at the Dingle! There were a few nervous faces upon arrival as the track had a hill...but the children were determined and tried extremely hard. We had some great results and cracking sprint finishes. Well done all! Smiles all round.
Race Night 4 at Offley: Monday 26th March 2018
Well done to all of our cross country runners tonight here at Offley, on our own turf. We were able to invite more children than usual so it was lovely to see some children just having a go. The sun was shining for us, there was lots of Offley staff to cheer us on and lots of smiles all round. A big thank you to Mrs Casey for volunteering to be our 'runner'. Even though she was a little nervous at the start, she did a fantastic job! A great race by all.
Wednesday 18th October 2017
Our Rugby players had a brilliant afternoon at Sandbach Boy's School for the Sandbach Tag Rugby tournament. We had 3 teams involved. A Year 3/4 team and two Year 5/6 teams.
The matches were played in a great spirit, no scores were counted so the boys and girls could just get on with having a brilliant time and trying their best which they did. They all supported each other and played with fantastic respect and sportsmanship.
Year 4 Girls Football Tournament @ Sandbach United
The year 4 girls took part in their first football tournament of the year. We put together a team for this tournament who have never played together before. They didn’t have much time to practise but didn’t let that stop them. Some of the girls had been to football coaching last year at the after school club but some were brand new to the game. We played a range of teams, Blackfirs, Haslington, The Quinta in a group format. We knocked it out of the park. We won our first game 6-0, drew the second 1-1 and won our last group match 1-0. We ended up winning our group and got through to the semi-final. We won that 1-0, so we were through to our first final. We played a blinder and ran and ran but unfortunately got beat 2-0 by the Quinta A team. The girls showed fantastic team spirit and an ability to work together in freezing conditions. What a tournament it was!
Quick Sticks Hockey Level 3 Games
Thursday 15th March 2018
We were feeling so proud and privileged to be playing in the Cheshire and Warrington Level 3 Winter Games. And what a brilliant morning we had! With 4 wins, 2 draws and just 1 loss we managed to get into the semi-finals. The determination and drive the children demonstrated was outstanding but we sadly lost the game in the semi-finals. We are so proud of what we have achieved; 4th Place. This means we are the 4th best quick sticks hockey team in the whole of Cheshire and Warrington (out of 120 schools!!!). This is an incredible achievement – well done! We were also very proud to win the trophy for the ‘Spirit of the Games’ Award. The team were an absolute credit to Offley and Mrs Rea is exceptionally proud of them all.

Quick Sticks Hockey Level 2 Games
Tuesday 6th March 2018
What a fantastic afternoon of hockey! Our KS2 team were again unbeaten at the SSP Final Quicksticks competition. With wins of 12-1, 9-1, 8-1, 7-1 and 5-0 they really were unstoppable! The KS2 children worked brilliantly as a team and showed great sportsmanship throughout. Many of the referees commended them on their honesty and fair play and I was very proud of them all. They will now progress onto the Level 3 Quicksticks Final. Good Luck for the next competition!

Monday 26th February 2018
A huge well done to our fantastic Hockey team who were unbeaten at the KS2 Sandbach Quicksticks competition. I think we might have been inspired by our Henry Weir Visit. What a fantastic result, off to the SSP Final we go!
