Children’s Mental Health Week

We are delighted to share that Offley will be taking part in Children’s Mental Health Week, a special week dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of every child in our school community.
This special week will take place during the week commencing Monday 9th February. The theme for this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week is This is my Place.
This theme focuses on the importance of feeling like you belong – whether that’s within your family, your school, your group of friends, or a team. These moments of connection help us feel valued, accepted, and
understood. When we experience a sense of belonging, we feel happy, safe, and ready to learn and play. It helps us grow strong in both our minds and bodies, and it supports us in making friends, doing well in
school, and developing positive self-esteem. Throughout the week, we will be exploring how we can help everyone feel like they belong. Children will be encouraged to take part in discussions and activities within their classes, giving them the chance to reflect on what makes them feel happy and connected. We will be learning together about kindness, inclusion, and how to ensure no one ever feels left out – because everyone deserves to have a place where they are accepted, cared for, and loved.
