Personal, Social & Health Education
At Offley Primary Academy, our pupils to become resilient, confident, respectful and responsible members of society. Through our whole school approach, our broad and balanced curriculum provides all Pupils will with learning relating to family and relationships, health and wellbeing, safety and the changing body, citizenship and economic wellbeing.
Our learners develop a growth mindset through purposeful learning experiences. Consequently, pupils recognise that their future possibilities are endless and filled with opportunities through ‘the power of yet.’ We equip children with the vocabulary needed to be able to express their own thoughts and feelings and those of others, empowering all pupils to make informed choices now, and in the future. Through our adaptive and tailored teaching, we encourage pupils to recognise their own worth; to establish personal space boundaries; and to understand the differences between appropriate and inappropriate or unsafe physical and other contact. We intend for all pupils to maintain high standards of personal behaviour, exhibit a positive caring attitude towards other people and to encompass an understanding of their social and cultural traditions with an appreciation of the diversity and richness of other cultures. As a result, our learners develop as aspirational, capable, honest, caring and confident children whom we are proud to call members of our Offley Primary Academy family.
