The Zone: Our Before and After School Club
This is made up of two settings: ‘The Mini Zone’ for our pre-school and reception class children; and ‘The Big Zone’ for our children in Years 1-6.
‘The Zone’ is open from 7:45 – 8.40am for Breakfast Club and 3:15pm – 6:00pm for the evening session. The cost for each session is £5.00 for the morning and £9.50 for the evening. Parents may pre-book a session from 7.30am (subject to availability); this must be done in advance through the school office at the cost of £2.50 in addition to the cost of £5.00 for a morning session.
‘The Zone’ is all about fun, action and exploration! After a full day at school, we appreciate the children need time to relax, chat and play with their friends. They have the opportunity to play and explore in a safe and natural environment within the extensive school grounds. Children are able to play sports, ride their bikes or use the outdoor play equipment. However, there is also the added opportunity of using the full range of facilities within the main school building such as the computer suite, the hall, the library and the food technology room.
Our ‘Mini Zone’ setting is located in our Key Stage 1/EYFS side of the school. Access to this is via the entrance opposite the crossing, alongside the barrier on the car park. This is where children should be dropped off and collected.
Our ‘Big Zone’ setting is located towards our Key Stage 2 playground, at the far end of the car park, past the main entrance.
Any changes to the pick-up arrangements must be made in advance via the academy office between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm (01270 449560), or by calling ‘The Big Zone’ from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on 07572 238739.
