Geography

Geography learning at Offley Primary Academy takes pupils on an inspiring journey of wonder and awe as they learn about our fragile world, its people and their interconnectedness. Our pupils develop a secure understanding of terrestrial and marine locations, the human characteristics of the places they study and the physical processes that act upon these places. All pupils, regardless of their starting points, are empowered to become responsible citizens, with an informed understanding of how humans can make a positive and negative impact on their immediate and global environments. Educational visits, fieldwork and classroom experiences deepen understanding of the interaction between physical and human processes and the formation and use of landscapes and environments. Geography at Offley prepares our children to be volcanologists, cartographers and future custodians of our planet.
