Welcome to year 2!
Welcome to our year two webpage! We’re so excited to begin another fantastic academic year and we’re looking forward to all the learning, laughter and adventures that year two will bring.
We are particularly excited to be continuing the continuous provision that the children have enjoyed so much in year one. We are very happy to continue because we believe this approach gives the children valuable opportunities to explore, make choices, develop their independence and apply their learning in meaningful ways.
Throughout the year, we will encourage the children to follow our three important school rules; Ready, Respectful and Safe. These will help us to create a positive classroom where everyone feels valued, supported and ready to learn.
We will also be developing our schools values of ambition, sustainability, perseverance, imagination, respect and empathy. We want our children to be ambitious in their learning, perseverance things are challenging, use their imagination to think creatively, respect them ourselves and others, show empathy and understand how they can make a positive difference to the world around them.
As the year progresses, we will continue to build the children’s confidence, independence and resilience, while developing the knowledge and skills they need for the next stage of their education. We are very much looking forward to getting the children ready for the excited challenges of key stage two.
It promises to be a wonderful year, and we can’t wait to see the children grow, learn and flourish! We look forward to sharing their achievements and experiences with you throughout the year.
