Curriculum Rationale
At Offley Primary Academy, our curriculum is designed to be ambitious, broad and balanced to excite and engage all pupils. Our aim is that through inspiring and enriching experiences, we create well-rounded, good citizens who are prepared for life beyond the classroom, in an ever-changing technologically advanced world.
Our values of ambition, sustainability, perseverance, imagination, respect and empathy are embedded in every aspect of the curriculum to ensure our pupils ASPIRE to be their best. Our curriculum is focused on being knowledge-rich, providing challenge and support in preparation for pupils’ next stage of learning. We pride ourselves on using adaptive teaching, driven by our Offley Pupil Entitlement, to ensure that our curriculum meets the needs of all SEND learners.
The curriculum subjects have been carefully mapped to ensure progression and full coverage of the National Curriculum aims. Through purposeful and memorable opportunities, our pupils develop their cultural capital, inspiring a thirst for knowledge and helping them to make sense of the world.
Pupil Entitlement
Our Pupil Entitlement outlines what every child should experience in every lesson taught at Offley Primary Academy. Additionally, every lesson taught follows the same lesson structure so that every subject is delivered to the same high standard. These two key documents ensure that our pupils receive the highest quality education and achieve their potential. Click the links below to view our Pupil Entitlement and Lesson Structure.
